Where have I been.....

When I decided to start blogging I wanted to make sure it would'nt be something i start and then don't ever get around to keeping up with it. I love when friends that live hours from me are up to date on my life by reading my blog. For instance when i was out of town last weekend one of my friends said "so are you off hold yet"...meaning are you and The Man trying to have a baby yet? It makes me smile...so i am sorry that i have been MIA.... I feel like i had more time to blog when i worked night shift, which is crazy because i felt like all i did was sleep during the day for those 3 years. But i will have to say i have been pretty busy with little trips planning my sisters wedding and razorback football games.

My sister, Mom, my sister's future MIL and I went to Florida for a weekend wedding planning trip. We had a wonderful time and got a lot done. EXCEPT lying on the beach... but i will get over it...hopefully will be able to have everything planned enough that we can relax on the beach the wedding weekend! I did get to put my feet in but didn't not put my swimsuit on once.

All four of us out to dinner one night. We did a lot of eating so we could decide where the rehearsal dinner would be.

This picture is outside the venue Ash picked for the wedding and reception. We got to meet with the wedding planner, florist, baker, and photographer!

We had a lot of tasting on this trip... I am a huge fan of the bakerman....but this lady in Florida can make some wonderful cakes!

It was a long day of planning. We love florida but didn't want to make too many trips back and forth.....so we got to business. Mom and I look a little tired.

We had a little break and then went to the food tasting for the reception. OMG.... It was great... I can't wait until the wedding just so i can EAT! Of course Florida has some great food because all the fresh seafood but everything they gave us to taste was great. But still wasn't hard to pick our favorites for the reception.

After getting home from Florida i had to go straight to work the next 3 days then on another road trip to Fayetteville for the Ark vs Auburn game. AS ALWAYS...we enjoy our busy weekend visiting everyone... A few of our friends are expecting babies soon...it was soo nice to see all of them. Some showing and some not so much! It is always such a busy weekend so ofcourse we didn't get to see everyone but sadly that is how it is going to be i guess from now on...

The Man and I tailgating before the game

Me and one of my best friends.... One of the expecting mommies... her belly was still little..i can't wait until she is showing big time :) SOO CUTE!!

Me and Sweet Madison... oh how i wish we lived closer

MyGod sister in law and bestie Kelsi came to find me after the game but only for a short bit! But I was still so excited to see her!

Some of my favorite guys! Needless to say anytime they all get together you know its going to be a good time.

Well hopefully I will be better about blogging.... I feel like i have left ya'll out of a lot lately :)

I am going to be an aunt again...

Not a true sibling... :) My best friend, Mary Kate, has finally announced that she is pregnant. I AM SO EXCITED. I have this feeling it is going to be a little girl. She is thinking a little boy. I am just tickled to death! Look at this sweet baby!

Dinner date

I had the best dinner date tonight with one of my best friends. It makes me sad to live in different towns than the girls that were like family to me while in college. But it is always so nice to meet up with them. I am having to take a fetal monitoring training class tomorrow so I made some time for dinner with my dear friend while on my short trip. All of our lives are changing so much, which is a good thing, but I just wish we were all in the same town so I would be there for all of it. No pics tonight but found a old college one of us that makes me smile.

This was taken summer 2007. The night before I moved to Charleston, South Carolina for the summer. I love a friendship that even though we haven't seen one another in months, it was like we just saw each other yesterday. Much love.

Oh sunny Days....

I love this weather i can hardly stand it. I just want to be outside all the time. At this very moment i am in our den with the french doors wide open. Giving my house a good fresh smell and letting this coldness that is stuck in my house out! Does anyone else do this? It is like opening the widows but instead all the doors!! My dog aren't sure what to do...if they should sit outside or inside. To cute!

Well this week is spring break for my town. No nurses don't get a spring break...but i am pretty good at making my schedule and made sure i was off during the week days to hang out with my mother (since she is a school nurse) and have lunch dates with some of my teacher friends.

Monday Mom, Ash and I decided to take trip to Little Rock to have lunch with my grandmother and do some shopping. No pictures...of course... well except this one

I am soo soo soo excited about my favorite store opening in little rock. It is so close... yet not just down the street...i do have family in LR, one of my best friends is moving back to LR...(this is for you Cat), one of my ttown besties family is in LR...so needless to say it is an easy day trip. So excited... and yes i did stand in front of the store and took a picture with my phone like i was a tourist or something... haha...

So Tues and Wed has been mother daughter time and of course Rach and Willis time. My dear mother and Rachel love some antiques/junk shops... ok so do i...but The Sweet Man doesn't. He likes the antiques that his mother has, but they are ones that i can not afford at this moment. :) Not the junk ones....So Tuesday started with a trip to Ashdown. Then lunch with Rach and Willis then mom and Rach planned out a trip to New Boston to see all their antiques and then planned a whole day for today... we were up early for breakfast and headed to Atlanta. They were soo excited.. Will and i were just enjoying our time with our mommas! This is a funny pic I got of Will. My sister has always wanted a lawn jockey...so i was taking a picture of him to send to her and Sweet Will wanted his picture with him... too funny. and. so. cute! (talking about Will not the lawn jockey...he is scary and $189..no thanks!

Not sure what planned for tomorrow...besides our st patty's day get together. Then Friday there is talk of going to estate sales with these two antique shopping fools! I do work Friday night so will be sleeping most of the day....

I forgot to share with ya'll my trip to Fayetteville two weekends ago. It was SOOO nice to see everyone. It was not a rushed stressed out weekend at all. The Man did stuff with his friends and I was with mine. Boy time and girl time. It was great....always good to have your own time. I had dinner Friday night at Bordinos with all the girls and then made our way to Theo's...my fav. Then i met up with The Man and his friends out. Saturday lunch date with my besties and then a day full of shopping. Then Katie and Channin's engagement party and then a night out. It was so fun and nice to see everyone. Always makes me think what life would be like if The Man and I were still in Fayetteville. Only 2 pictures of the entire weekend...i have got to get better at this.

Scarlet and I at West End...and yes i chopped my hair off. It was really got and was my first time to actually fix it since i got it cut...so doesn't look great in these pics. In 2 weeks it has already grown so much!
Some of my favorite people
As always i am already excited and ready to plan another trip to Fayetteville soon. Not sure when it will be but hopefully soon!!

Good-bye January.....Hello February

New look around here.....and I love it!!!

I can not believe it is already February. I feel like i might say this every month. January was such a busy month and i don't feel like I shared any of it will ya'll! We had many birthday celebrations!

Moms birthday was first celebrated. I love this picture of her and her friend Susan.

mom and susie

Next my Grandfather celebrated his 98 birthday! CRAZY....

I am already thinking of a 100th birthday bash!

grandkids with papaw at Christmas Then my Dad celebrated his birthday. I was sadly at work and didn't even get to see him! This is a picture my cousin took at my wedding. It is one of my VERY favorites! Can't wait to go print out my wedding pictures very soon!

We also celebrated my Mother in Law's birthday and The Sweet Man's Grandfather's birthday!

We had a wonderful "celebration" and girls night full of fun.

And of course there is always a photo shoot. Alana and I commented on how Stella always takes the best pictures, the same cute pose, and the skinny face. Alana and i tried to make our faces look thin and we tried to look perfect in every pic like Stella and you see the fun pictures we ended up with.

Love a good night out with friends.

I feel like February is going to be just as busy. This weekend we were suppose to have a shower for one of the cutest little mommy to be. But we had to move it to next weekend because of the snow. (very sad that i won't be able to make it). Then we have super bowl, Taylor's birthday weekend, Valentines day, and then weekend work. And hopefully warm weather right around the corner.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Stay warm!!!

Sugar bowl fun....

Its about time...huh?

I didn't realize i still haven't posted about our New Orleans trip for the sugar bowl. We had such a great time. Since we don't live too far from New Orleans we decided to drive and not fly. It is not a bad drive at all. I told the Sweet Man, we should do this trip more often. We go to New Orleans at least once a year b/c my SIL is from there and her family still lives there so its an easy trip to see my brother, sil, and nephew.

Tuesday morning we picked of our friends, Rhys and Jessica, from the airport. Most of our friends all got here the Sunday before. There was a big group of us and so fun to see everyone.

The Sweet Man and I at brunch!
The weather was perfect. Like mid 60's.

Crazy how hog fans all get together at the same place even in New Orleans. The Fayetteville radio station was there also. Everyone just kept showing up, it was like we were all in the pit in Fayetteville tailgating.

a few of the guys
And the girls...

On Bourbon Street
I am not a huge fan of Bourbon St. I don't love soo many people in one place where you can't just walk down a street. At times, yes, i do get distracted so I will get lost from my group. The Sweet Man would keep saying Jenni we aren't behind you. Ooops!
Also when we go with my brother and SIL we don't do the Bourbon st thing. Just tourists. I have seen so much more of New Orleans than Bourbon and if you only see Bourbon you are missing out. But that is were most people were and wanting to go so I just sucked it up and did what majority of the group wanted to do.

I do love these people. When you can't tell if they are real or not. Obviously he was real standing in the middle of the road but others it is difficult to tell.

Every football game there are few people that i ALWAYS hang out with. Many weren't able to make it to New Orleans. But I did get to spend the day with Jordan. I was really worried about not seeing Mary Kate since we were hanging out at different places. But then look who we got to hang out with right before the game.... MK!!!!

Even though we didn't win we had such a good time in New Orleans with friends. We will never be able to get these days back (life without everyone having children), so we are trying to enjoy every bit of it!

Home Sweet Home

Well not exactly but I feel like it's my home! At this very moment I am sitting in Fayetteville at one of my friends house. She isn't here yet (thanks to her problems with shopping) so I am sitting on her front porch until she gets here! This is my view

Yep....Turtle creek!

This is where me and 5 other of my friends lived in college! Oh how sweet to look back to those days! In this wonderful house we had some great times. I will never forget when we found it. I called about it and the lady said the doors were unlocked. So we all ran in! Then went back and got the rest of the crew and went in again. We all got on our phones talking to our parents about it. Then a couple of months later it was our house. New! No one had lived in it. Since me and the 2 girls I was living with found it, they let us pick the side we wanted. We lived on the right side! It was the first one we went into so we decided its the one. Then it ended up being the better side. I think they rushed the other side on getting it finished or something!

Then we all graduated and people had change of plans that was best for them at the time. So Scarlet actually moved across the street with Caitlin, which is where I am at this moment! Mary Kate moved into her boyfriends rent house....no not with him...he just owned the house! Now they are married and live in the house. Crazy huh! Katie (which lived on the left side) moved to California. Candel moved in with Mary Kate. And I moved into the left side with Britani and Jordan! Actually jordan moved in before I did when Candel moved out! Gosh that was alot! Anyway many memories made!

We had many visitors! Actually all the time. Michelle lived in my room for a summer while I was in Charleston. Caitlin was an over night guest most weekends..Jordan too before she moved in! Anyway long story short I love that house.

By the way The entire time I was outside waiting on Scarlet, she was actually already here inside waiting on me! Haha! It was ok bc i enjoyed getting to sit and think about the old times.... and think how I am thankfully to have such a good group of girlfriends. Much Love to my girls!

I CAN'T WAIT.....

I know I have not been a very good blogger these days. I keep up with the blog i read but just haven't given my blog any attention... Sorry!

Well i am so excited about this weekend. The Sweet Man and I are heading to Fayetteville on Friday! We have a full weekend of fun! Always happens when are visit Fayetteville. But this time i think we will be able to see all of our favorite friends! Including the GIRLS!!!...
For some reason i love this pictures of all of us. Katie didn't make in this photo.. hard to find one with all of us! We always have such a great time when we are all together.. .and we hopefully will be this weekend! As soon as I get intown i want to do a little shopping and then we will go out to eat to celebrate one of my very best friends BIRTHDAYS!!!

HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY SCARLET celebration is going to be great!

This is Scarlet and me last summer... always taking crazy pictures... always have fun!
After dinner we are going to go see.......

PAT GREEN!
I used to be a huge fan of his when he was more Texas Country type. But it will still be a great show. Then after that i will meet up with The Sweet Man for some great fun with him and all his friends!!! Many exciting things taking place!

THEN... early Saturday morning i will be up getting ready for...... (actually 2 days, 11 hours, and 11 minutes... until the game! No, i don't know this off hand i went to this website and saw it!)

The Razorback vs Ole Miss game!!! This is always a fun one for me, for many reason.
1. A good game is always fun...wish i wasn't at 11:30 but whatev
2. Vs. OLE MISS... major game... we have always kind of been rivals, but ever since Houston Nutt (Ark old Football coach) went to Coach at Ole Miss. It is a major game to win!!!
3. My sister in law went to school at Ole Miss!
I love Razorback football games. There is just something about it. If you haven't experienced it i think you should put it on your life list!!! I hope to have many pictures to post after this weekend. Also, i have been very busy planning a few things. Sunday when we get back we are having a going away party for a dear friend moving to Denver. Then the next Saturday is the big Halloween Party at our house! I have been wanting to blog about that but then the decor and food won't be a surprise!!! The Sweet MAn and my costumes came in yesterday!!! soo excited!

Fair Week!

Last week was fair week. I think everyone no matter what age always becomes a kid again during fair week. I do not get on any rides, I just enjoy the food and entertainment. It started not this past Saturday but the one before that. Lasts a week! The first Saturday of the Fair The Sweet Man had tickets to the demolition derby. I was scheduled to work so he just invited some guy friends. Then i got put on call so I got to join the guys. If you have not experienced the demolition derby, before you judge, you should go to one. I heard one of my mom's friends call it the "Redneck Rodeo" and that is soo true. It is soo very redneck but it is a lot of fun to watch. You just have to embrace it. This is the only picture I took that night. Too bad i didn't get a picture of the guys b/c they were like little boys so excited. It was pretty funny!

Picture taken with iPhone. These were the last 3 cars. They all got stuck together so they were pulling them apart!

Then last Thursday was Rodeo night. I secretly want to be a Rodeo Queen. I love it and always have. I asked for a horse as a child probably 5 times a year. Never seemed to get one. My Parents said we didn't have anywhere to put it. The Sweet Man says one day we will possibly get one. But I think my Rodeo Queen days will probably be over then. :) Before the Rodeo my family and the sweet man walked around to find our favorite fair food to eat. Me and Ash enjoying the food at the fair ready for the Rodeo

On Friday we left for Fayetteville. We always love staying with the Penningtons. They have a dog so we get to take sweet Lottie. We went to a charity event with them. The sweet little puppy in Suz's arms they actually won. Cute little Kevin They realized a new puppy wasn't for them, so in less then 24 hrs they found a good home for the sweet little thing!

Football FUN....

Mann.... How about those HOGS! Yes, I know we didn't win but we played a great game. We always mess those certain play up. 24/20 to the #1 team in the country isn't too bad. And they didn't do anything really until the last quarter. How amazing it would have been if we would have won. But we are still proud of those Hogs. And i loved getting to visit all my favorite people, minus a few that i didn't get to see. Football weekends or always crazy busy weekends!

At common grounds for brunch before the game. So glad I got to see this lovely face! Miss you so much! Trip to Nashville has got to be in the works soon!

me and Jordan

In all my years as a college student at the U of A, I never saw the bus with the band, Cheerleaders and Tusk I, II, or III. Unit now!

I also never stood in line like this as a student. This is crazy. We heard on the news or TV that on Thursday night there were 30-40 tents up with people camping out.

As a student at UofA, for those that don't know, you can buy tickets to all the games for a $1 game, that was the cost when i was there. The good seats are first come basis. I was always in the upper deck since i didn't get in line early. Then we thankfully got season tickets!

My besties at my "favorite tailgate." I stopped by to see MK and then Scarlet and Caitlin walked up. Then not 10 min later Jordan and her sister were there. Like I said. Somehow we all just meet up at this tailgate to see the family!
Me, Mary Kate, Caitlin, Scarlet

My first time to meet Sweet baby Alex. His parent are good friend of mine and the Sweet Man but live about 3 hrs from us!
I want one!!!

The Sweet Man and me
(After soonone spilled there drink all over him, me and sweet alex's head)

Look at all that Red! We played a really good game. Just wish it could have ended better!

This was the kid in front of us! Loved it!
Oh how I miss Fayetteville! We had such a great weekend. A very fast one but it was a lot of fun. Early games are hard b/c you don't have time to hang out too long before the game and then after the game everyone is so tired and everywhere is sooo busy.

Ready for the next one!

WOO PIG....

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR.... Football, Friends, and Tailgating FUN!

This is the time of year that i miss Fayetteville the most. Although The Sweet Man and I try to make it to Fayetteville for all the big games, its just sad not to be there for all of them. Only 2 more days until we are back in Fayetteville with all of our friends to cheer on the HOGS! Something about college towns and football.... BIG DEAL~ but i feel Arkansas it is even more . Maybe b/c UofA is the only major college in Arkansas.
I was looking back at old pictures and had to share fun tailgating pics. Hope you enjoy. Hopefully will have new ones to post when we get back in town!

Our friends had us a tailgate shower last year. It was actually the weekend before our wedding. I might have been a little stressed! But was so fun....and so thoughtful!

My girls at the tailgate/shower!
This is my most favorite family to tailgate with. Most of my college years were spent at this tailgate, and will still always have to stop by. I hope one day i will bring my little ones to this tailgate with me. Oh.... how I love this family.
At the same favorite tailgate as above... at a different time.. maybe even different year.

Pretty sure this is at the same favorite tailgate too. We seem to always all meet up here!

Many of both, mine and The Sweet Man's, friends have moved off but we all seem to come back together during this time. It is always a blast. Can't wait....
