Fair Week!
Then last Thursday was Rodeo night. I secretly want to be a Rodeo Queen. I love it and always have. I asked for a horse as a child probably 5 times a year. Never seemed to get one. My Parents said we didn't have anywhere to put it. The Sweet Man says one day we will possibly get one. But I think my Rodeo Queen days will probably be over then. :) Before the Rodeo my family and the sweet man walked around to find our favorite fair food to eat. Me and Ash enjoying the food at the fair ready for the Rodeo
On Friday we left for Fayetteville. We always love staying with the Penningtons. They have a dog so we get to take sweet Lottie. We went to a charity event with them. The sweet little puppy in Suz's arms they actually won. Cute little Kevin They realized a new puppy wasn't for them, so in less then 24 hrs they found a good home for the sweet little thing!

Football FUN....
At common grounds for brunch before the game. So glad I got to see this lovely face! Miss you so much! Trip to Nashville has got to be in the works soon!
I also never stood in line like this as a student. This is crazy. We heard on the news or TV that on Thursday night there were 30-40 tents up with people camping out.
As a student at UofA, for those that don't know, you can buy tickets to all the games for a $1 game, that was the cost when i was there. The good seats are first come basis. I was always in the upper deck since i didn't get in line early. Then we thankfully got season tickets!
My first time to meet Sweet baby Alex. His parent are good friend of mine and the Sweet Man but live about 3 hrs from us!

WOO PIG....
This is my most favorite family to tailgate with. Most of my college years were spent at this tailgate, and will still always have to stop by. I hope one day i will bring my little ones to this tailgate with me. Oh.... how I love this family.
At the same favorite tailgate as above... at a different time.. maybe even different year.

Summer Shows...
The Bachelor Pad..... It has all the favorites from the passed seasons of the Bachelor and Bachelorette. They all played against each other. The boys voted off the girls, and girls voted off the boys. They would compete and then get to pick a few people to go on a date and give a rose to that person. They would both be safe. I thought it was going to be stupid.. BUT ENDED UP LOVING IT. In the end the played by couples. I sooooo wanted Tinley and Kipton to win but didn't work out that way. So sad! I think she and I would be friends in real life...Can't wait until next season... not sure if there is one or how they will do it b/c all the favorite were on this one!
Next... BIG BROTHER... I have loved this for many years. I really really really want to be on it. I never thought I would ever be picked until this year and girl, Kathy, from my home town was on it. No i do not know her. But i will say she is a cop on my side of town. Anytime i pass a cop car i am like looking in it so i can meet her. Also another girl, Brittney, she was my favorite, is from Arkansas. Is from a small town near Fayetteville. She and her soon to be hubbie had a house in Little Rock.. It actually burnt down the day of of Big brother...very sad b/c her family didn't tell her b/c there wasn't anything she could do. So weird for me to have known about her house burning down before she even did and watching her on TV when she didn't even know.

Healthy Habits... Wear teal toes in Sept.
So even though she is a survivor I will wear my teal toes for her! I thankfully have not had anyone close to me suffer this illness. But with my profession we do hear about it all the time.
So I thought i would share a little bit of info for you Healthy Habits!....
Ovarian Cancer, known as the "Silent Killer," is the leading cause of death from gynecologic cancers in the United States and is the fifth leading cause of cancer death among U.S. women. The American Cancer Society estimates that 21,880 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the U.S. in 2010 and about 13,850 women will die from the disease. It is an insidious disease that can strike without warning or cause. The symptoms of ovarian cancer are often vague and subtle, making it difficult to diagnose. Symptoms include:
- Bloating
- Pelvic or abdominal pain
- Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
- Urinary symptoms (urgency or frequency)
There is no effective screening test for ovarian cancer but there are tests which can detect ovarian cancer when patients are at high risk or have early symptoms. Until we have better early detection tools, all women should be educated about the disease so they can achieve early diagnosis and successful treatment. A woman’s lifetime risk of ovarian cancer is 1 in 67. Listen to your body. Do not ignore symptoms!
